Hello students and parents! Today is the first day of registration. I am having fun getting my room ready for my new students. It is so exciting to know that I will soon have the opportunity to get to know another 140+ of our towns finest 6th graders!

- I am a 6th grade social studies teacher. I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have also lived in Iowa, Hawaii, Tennessee, and Illinois. Student success is my passion. I have a B.S. from Univ of Iowa and MEd and EdS from Southern IL University at Edwardsville. I have been a finalist for IL Teacher of the Year and a Fulbright Scholar in Russia. I have worked with the Dept. of Ed. in DC with the publication: Improving Organization and Study to Improve Student Learning--it can be downloaded at the Doing What Works Website for teachers.

ReplyDeletehey mrs. bain have you ever had swimmer's ear cuz i got it it is sooooooooooooooo painful i can't even hear out of my right ear its scary? what have you been up to?!?!?!?! i can't wait till school!!! wait to see all my friends that havnt seen all this summer and to maybe but hopefully to see my teachers from last year!!! hope to see you soon
