Mt. Etna
Here are some pictures of Mt. Etna. It is a volcano that last erupted in 2001. I felt like I was on another planet. You will see a close-up of the lava rocks, a lava-flow, views of the craters, and Mt. Etna from afar. It was really neat! I have a lot more photos to show you!
I am a 6th grade social studies teacher. I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have also lived in Iowa, Hawaii, Tennessee, and Illinois.
Student success is my passion. I have a B.S. from Univ of Iowa and MEd and EdS from Southern IL University at Edwardsville. I have been a finalist for IL Teacher of the Year and a Fulbright Scholar in Russia. I have worked with the Dept. of Ed. in DC with the publication: Improving Organization and Study to Improve Student Learning--it can be downloaded at the Doing What Works Website for teachers.
