Tuesday

Hello!
I am enjoying your comments!

Happy birthday, Allison--I hope you had a wonderful day:)

I can't believe I went to the other side of the world to ride a camel--and here they were giving camel rides at Eckerts????!!!!! (It is pretty fun, isn't it?!)

I am so glad to hear that some of you are watching shows about Egypt on tv. Is it the History Channel? National Geographic? Tell me what you learned!

I spent yesterday at sea. Every day has been SO busy; it felt very good to have a day of rest. I spent several hours typing my journal and going through photos.

Would you like to hear an interesting fact?? For safety reasons, in Egypt, we had our own body guard! He was always on our bus and escorted us to each place. (I never had my own body guard before!!)

In about an hour, I tour Malta. We arrived in port early this morning. The city looks beautiful. I will get to tour a place where local handicrafts are made: lace, ceramics, and knitting. I have a very interesting fact about the Mosta Dome which you will learn in class on Wednesday.

One week from today I will be back in the classroom. Get ready for lots of hugs!

  1. Hi Mrs.Bain,
WE am from outer space and you will never guess our names! You probably will guess our names right. I feel the same as Jared and the whole medusa thing. If she was alive I would be so scared. We command you to have a good rest of the trip and return safely and if you don't you will get attack by this one anonymous person.( It may be 2)

P.S. Our names don't have KF as the intails. I wonder who it could be!!

  3. National Geographics; and I learned King Ahmose was going to put a girl mask on his mumifacation tomb until the egytions protested. It was found buried in the sand near his tomb. Also ilearned last night on Animal Planet there is a bug that can live in the blocks of the pyramid for centuries and could posibly stil be alive today.

What a wonderful journey you have had. Blake and I posted comments but I don't think they went through for whatever reason. Hope you keep having a WONDERFUL time!

  5. Okay my aliens...I need MORE hints! You have me totally curious!!

Thanks for the note, Rachel. I can identify with feeling like you were going to fall off the camel! The day after I rode the camel, I realized my hands were SO SORE!! Finally, I figured out that it was because I was holding on so darn tight to the camel!! I am really excited to see everyone again!

Alison--GREAT facts! You taught ME! I love it when that happens:)

Lorna--hopefully you can go through and read my comments. Yes, they have come through and I have so enjoyed them! Thank you!
